That's what I was thinking, yeah. Because there are really a LOT of people they come into glancing contact with over the course of the story, and they all have so much going on, too - and everyone was affected by this crap, everyone, in all different sorts of ways.

I'm glad there's interest. I may end up only posting it here, not in the comms, because it's just *barely* 'generically WM-related', but I will finish it.
