And I really like Rorschach's reaction. No big OMG I MUST CHANGE BY WAAAAYS, and maybe not actually consciously connecting himself to the racists thugs, but enough to really rattle him.
I don't think you should be nervous about claiming this (plus, this so stalker-y and you get it all the time but, *cough* I kinda recognized your writing). It's brutal, but their world is brutal, and Ror himself is so brutal in his own way that it has to be something really rough to get to him. I really enjoyed this.
