And so many of the best roller coasters, all the old wooden ones from the 20s with no lap bars or anything, ALWAYS seem like they're about to rattle apart. And there'll be a dip or two that seem really scary at the time but you get through them and you're bolstered and brave and then you hit the last big drop.
And goddamn but you're suddenly unsure about that track again, because people DO go flying off of old coasters sometimes, cars do derail, people do get killed on them. And all you can do is hold on tight and hope.
