Nelly was a racist, which is a social issue more than a psych issue but is still an issue, and Laurie has MASSIVE problems with being forced to follow in mommy's footsteps and also with never knowing her father. Dan's issues might be personal but they're still there, and I wouldn't necessarily call someone who needs to dress up like an owl and rescue people from a fire before he can be 'okay' enough with himself to be with someone 'well adjusted'. XD Don't get me wrong, I adore Dan, he's probably my favorite of the bunch, he's sweet and honorable and human, but he's still got serious self-image issues tied up in the nite owl identity.
