Yes! Exactly. Ror gets so distant Dan has to team up with the Comedian during the riots for heaven's sake. That doesn't come up much/ever in fandom and I wish it did. Yeah OK Dan quit, but Rorschach quit sanity.
Oh definitely. The worry about Ror really does come through loud and clear. And it's even worse because he's had a taste of the mindless doll's life so he doesn't have to imagine what's going to become of him mentally. (That effect on Ror is even more chilling than it was on Dan, BTW) Besides whatever they'll do to him physically.
