I'm just really self-conscious about the length of things I write and how spooled-out they get, and how they just kind of meander sometimes. Especially when you're talking 5000 words of almost nothing happening at all. I'm really glad you don't think it was out of place. Or boring.
Dan at the phone booth is another of those snippet scenes(like Ror throwing Jackson out the window and Dan holding him over the sink after Roche) that I've had planned for a long time.
