Oh man, that thought has been plaguing me for the past few days.

My friends and I attended the midnight showing of New Moon (or N00b Moon, as my mother calls it) to yell out obscenities during "romantic" bits, etc., and towards the end while by brain was falling out my ears and I wanted to run screaming from the theater, I suddenly pictured Rorschach helping a limping Nite Owl down an empty highway at night. My brain quickly reconstructed itself so that I could form coherent thoughts such as "Wait, fuck, did they make it? Are they alive? They could be, it's totally possible, I've been pumped full of adrenalin before, and his foot still hurts! He can't be a ghost! Wait, fuck..." Seriously, that internal struggle got me through the end of the movie with my sanity intact.*

While I would love a bittersweet fucked up ending where they both die, and I think you did an amazing job of leading up to (the possibility of) such an ending, I prefer to think of this as a moment from when they were partners. You know? Like, they got through this and went on to kick ass in the world of the living, angst over the Keene act, and eventually go through the canon storyline get transported ten years into the future to fight for humanity and come to terms with their sexuality. But I'm still weighing the possibilities in my head.

Sorry for such a long, rambling comment... XD

*Disclaimer: I AM SO SORRY if you are a Twilight fan and I've just insulted you. I'm really hoping you're not, but I've learned not to judge since I found out my old AP English teacher loved it. She's this beautiful young woman from Paris who reads Jane Austen and David Sedaris and drinks tea and I was like HOW CAN YOU LIKE IT but whatever, to each his own I suppose.
