I can't even remember how I found this and now it's ten to four in the morning, but I regret NOTHING. Zombie Watchmen AU! A really fascinatingly well-thought out infection plot! (Seriously, humans being suddenly turned into ectothermic obligate carnivores and struggling to adapt accordingly is a totally awesome way of explaining flesh-craving hordes of the undead, and I'm really jealous of the idea.) But most awesome are the character studies in this, particularly the way Dan steps up and grows bolder as Rorschach gets more and more vulnerable. Only Rorschach, of all the characters in all the comics in all the world, could be made a happier, saner person by becoming a zombie infectee.
