I just lost all of today reading this. Beautiful! A wonderful balance of gorgeous layered prose and actual action. I have read too many books either being one or the other lately and this is just so lovely.
I loved the slow path of bring the boys together and Walter's healing seems realistic.
The slight meta touches are a joy too- 'a sci writer's wet dream." Hee!
