I wonder if you *had* thought of this before writing, subconsciously. The way Rorschach jumped into he water without realizing or caring that he couldn't swim because _Daniel_ was down there and he _had_ to do resonates with the song. He literally jumped into this deep emotion that he could only barely handle.
Can I assume this is a song you know well, that resonates in your soul even?

...are you now tempted to rewrite? If so, sorry! Not my intention! (but as a constant re-writer, I *would sympathize. My stories are never finished. There are always comas to be added and then removed.)
