Step 1: Put your music player on shuffle.
Step 2: Post the first line (or first and second line if it's completely impossible) from the first 15 (I got carried away and did 20, whatever) songs that play, no matter how embarrassing.
Step 3: Strike out the song when someone guesses both artist and track correctly.
Step 4: Looking them up on Google or any other search engine is CHEATING!
Step 5: If you like the game, post your own.

Techhhhnically my version of 15 is the Information Society version, but I know Gary Numan did it first, so that counts :D

7 - "The Boxer" by Simon & Garfunkel (or just Paul Simon, I mix up their pre and post split music all the time).

I think it was pre-split, but I could be wrong!

#5 - Mercy Street by Peter Gabriel
#12 - Oh, cripes, it's one of the iterations of "Another Brick In The Wall" by Pink Floyd, I think? Dx

He did Mercy Street during the orchestral show in June, oh my god weds, it was so amazing. The whole show was, with a big lightning storm going on in the background.

And yes, first iteration. Close enough. :D

I saw it at Red Rocks, and it was the single best show I have ever been to, period. And i've seen a lot of great shows there. At one point he was playing... Red Rain? Here Comes the Flood? And the looming stormclouds just opened up and soaked all of us, it was hilarious and awesome at the same time, in the true sense of the word 'awesome'. It was an Experience.

Anyway! Yes, Mercury, one of my favorites of theirs. :)

I'll bet the TV doesn't do Red Rocks justice. Such a beautiful venue, I'm sure more so in person.

It really is amazing, and yeah, I think part of that is being there in the middle of it, the sort of sweep and scale of it and being able to look up and see the stars or look out over the stage and see the city glittering in the dark... the fresh outdoor air, the breeze, the rain sometimes! It's something you have to be there for to really appreciate, and it's worth making a trip for, if someone you really like is playing there.

I've seen REM twice there - In Time tour and Accelerate tour. (I saw the Around the Sun tour too but that was a small theaters tour.) Also saw Daft Punk a few years ago, and Infected Mushroom last summer. No matter what kind of music it is, its a great venue, but I knew that orchestral Peter Gabriel at red rocks would basically be a once in a lifetime thing XD
